HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Cheryl Flinn on the occasion of her retirement as Business Manager at Ridgewood High School; and

WHEREAS, Cheryl Flinn has served Ridgewood High School for 29 years, the last 12 as Business Manager; and

WHEREAS, Cheryl Flinn earned her Bachelor of Arts in French in 1977 from Knox College, where she was magna cum laude; she earned her Master of Science in Library Science in 1978 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and her Master of Arts in Educational Administration in 1991 from Northeastern Illinois University; and

WHEREAS, Cheryl Flinn worked for the Niles Public Library from 1978 to 1983 and the Winnetka Public Library from 1983 to 1984; she worked for Ridgewood High School from 1985 to 2001 as the Library Media Specialist, and, from 2002 to 2014, she served as the Ridgewood High School Business Manager; and

WHEREAS, Cheryl Flinn is a violinist with the Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest; and she enjoys traveling and reading; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Cheryl Flinn on her retirement as Business Manager at Ridgewood High School, and wish her the best in all her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Cheryl Flinn as an expression of our esteem and respect.
