HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Cuauhtemoc "Temo" Estrada; and

WHEREAS, Cuauhtemoc Estrada served his country with pride as a member of the United States Marine Corps; and

WHEREAS, Cuauhtemoc Estrada joined the Cook County Sheriff's Office in 1994 as a correctional officer in the Cook County Jail; during his distinguished 20-year tenure, he served in various departments, including the Cook County Sheriff's Vocational Rehabilitation Impact Center and the Electronic Monitoring Unit; he also served as an investigator in the Electronic Monitoring Unit for 13 years; and

WHEREAS, Cuauhtemoc Estrada was well regarded by his peers for the tough but fair and humane manner in which he conducted his work and his great loyalty and dedication to his family; and

WHEREAS, Cuauhtemoc Estrada is survived by his son; his 3 daughters; and his 3 granddaughters; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Cuauhtemoc "Temo" Estrada; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Cuauhtemoc Estrada as an expression of our sympathy.
