30 ILCS 500/1-15.100

    Amends the Illinois Procurement Code. Removes the State Board of Elections from the definition of "State agency". Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning finance.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by
5changing Section 1-15.100 as follows:
 
6    (30 ILCS 500/1-15.100)
7    Sec. 1-15.100. State agency. "State agency" means and
8includes all boards, commissions, agencies, institutions,
9authorities, and bodies politic and corporate of the State,
10created by or in accordance with the constitution or statute,
11of the executive branch of State government and does include
12colleges, universities, and institutions under the
13jurisdiction of the governing boards of the University of
14Illinois, Southern Illinois University, Illinois State
15University, Eastern Illinois University, Northern Illinois
16University, Western Illinois University, Chicago State
17University, Governor State University, Northeastern Illinois
18University, and the Board of Higher Education. However, this
19term does not apply to public employee retirement systems or
20investment boards that are subject to fiduciary duties imposed
21by the Illinois Pension Code or to the University of Illinois
22Foundation. "State agency" does not include units of local
23government, school districts, community colleges under the

1Public Community College Act, the State Board of Elections, and
2the Illinois Comprehensive Health Insurance Board.
