SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

625 ILCS 5/1-169

from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 1-169

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that recreational vehicles include first division motor vehicles towing, hauling, or operating in combination with camping trailers, motor homes, mini motor homes, travel trailers, truck campers, or van campers when used for recreational and not commercial purposes or owned by a commercial business.

AN ACT concerning transportation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by changing Section 1-169 as follows:

(625 ILCS 5/1-169) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 1-169)

Sec. 1-169. Recreational vehicle. Every camping trailer, motor home, mini motor home, travel trailer, truck camper, or van camper used primarily for recreational purposes and not used commercially nor owned by a commercial business. Includes a motor vehicle of the first division towing, hauling, or otherwise operating in combination with a camping trailer, motor home, mini motor home, travel trailer, truck camper, or van camper when the combination use is for recreational purposes and not used commercially or owned by a commercial business.
