SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

105 ILCS 5/21B-73 new

Amends the Educator Licensure Article of the School Code. Requires a school board to report to the State Board of Education's Educator's Certification Division, or its successor division, any instance of disciplinary action taken against a licensed employee.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section 21B-73 as follows:

(105 ILCS 5/21B-73 new)

Sec. 21B-73. Report employee disciplinary actions. A school board shall report to the State Board of Education's Educator's Certification Division, or its successor division, any instance of disciplinary action taken against an employee licensed under this Article.
