    Amends the Energy Conservation and Coal Development Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning definitions.

1     AN ACT concerning State government.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Energy Conservation and Coal Development Act
5 is amended by changing Section 1 as follows:

6     (20 ILCS 1105/1)  (from Ch. 96 1/2, par. 7401)
7     Sec. 1. Definitions; transfer of duties.
8     (a) For the purposes of this Act, unless the ~~the~~ context
9 otherwise requires:
10         "Department" means the Department of Commerce and
11     Economic Opportunity.
12         "Director" means the Director of Commerce and Economic
13     Opportunity.
14     (b) As provided in Section 80-20 of the Department of
15 Natural Resources Act, the Department of Commerce and Community
16 Affairs (now Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity)
17 shall assume the rights, powers, and duties of the former
18 Department of Energy and Natural Resources under this Act,
19 except as those rights, powers, and duties are otherwise
20 allocated or transferred by law.
