SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Charles M. Willms of Waukegan, who passed
4away on July 27, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Charles Willms was born in Lake Forest to John
6Christopher and Florence Rose (Peters) Willms on January 29,
71932; he served in the United States Air Force during the
8Korean War; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Charles Willms retired from the Social Security
10Administration; he was a past Waukegan Township Trustee; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Charles Willms was a lifelong member of the
12American Legion; his passion was serving on political
13committees; he proudly served on the Spaulding School Board and
14the Waukegan School Board for many years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Charles Willms was preceded in death by his
16children, Beth Ann "Buffy" Willms-Brooks and Brian Willms; his
17brothers, John, Howard, and his twin Robert Willms; and his
18sister, Barbara Miceli; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Charles Willms is survived by his wife of 64
20years, Yvonne (Soderberg); his sons, Dorman (Linda) Willms and

1Kevin Willms; his daughters, Robin Ward and Carla Sayre; his
2daughter-in-law, Lynne Willms; his ten grandchildren; his
3eight great-grandchildren; and his brother, Richard (Wilda)
4Willms; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Charles M. Willms and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Charles Willms as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
