| | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | | 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the Lincoln Middle School | | 4 | | cheer team, the Wildcats, on their successful 2019 season; and
| | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Wildcats won the Illinois Elementary School | | 6 | | Association State Championship in the
Large Team Division on | | 7 | | January 25, 2020 in Peoria; and
| | 8 | | WHEREAS, The Wildcats ranked first out of 19 schools in the | | 9 | | Large Team Routine (17-25
9 members); and
| | 10 | | WHEREAS, The Wildcats are coached by head coaches Erin | | 11 | | Meyer and Kylie Hendricks; and
| | 12 | | WHEREAS, The Wildcats are supported by Superintendent Dr. | | 13 | | Jason Henderson, Principal Dr. Steve Stuart, and Athletic | | 14 | | Director Mr. Anthony McNeil; and
| | 15 | | WHEREAS, The young ladies of the Wildcat cheer team are | | 16 | | Annie Bozarth, Maggie Bowser,
Lexi Brannen, Maddie Bull, Tess | | 17 | | Deweese, Georgia Gaughan, Emeree Giles, Abbie Hendricks,
| | 18 | | Maddie Hubbard, Jaliegha Jackson, Charli Jones, Sophia Lynch, | | 19 | | Ashlinn Maguire, Ava Mayes,
Cami Reaka, Brenna Reuhl, Josie | | 20 | | Rutledge, Bella Summers, Maren Wagenblast, Alyssa

| | 2 | | WHEREAS, This is the first year that Lincoln Middle School | | 3 | | has won first place at the IESA
State Championship; this is | | 4 | | also the first time that Erin Meyer and Kylie Hendricks have | | 5 | | coached cheerleading; of the 21 girls on the team, only 7 were | | 6 | | returning cheerleaders; and
| | 7 | | WHEREAS, The coaches and the team are both very proud of | | 8 | | their hard work this
season; the team started learning the | | 9 | | foundations and basics, and they proved that they are
fighters | | 10 | | and that hard work truly pays off; therefore, be it
| | 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | | 12 | | HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | | 13 | | we congratulate the Lincoln Middle School cheer team, the | | 14 | | Wildcats,
on their successful 2019/2020 season and their state | | 15 | | championship, and we wish them many
more successful seasons; | | 16 | | and be it further
| | 17 | | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | | 18 | | presented to the coaches and members
of the Wildcats as a | | 19 | | symbol of our respect and esteem.
