SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jay Willis Landwer of McHenry, who passed away on August 14, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Jay Landwer was born on February 29, 1936 in Lake Zurich; his parents were Willis and Emma Landwer; and

WHEREAS, Jay Landwer served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Jay Landwer will be remembered fondly by his family and friends as a very compassionate man who enjoyed pulling pranks on everyone; and

WHEREAS, Jay Landwer was the beloved husband of the late Ann Paula Landwer, whom he married on November 9, 1957; the loving father of Scott (Collette) Landwer and Dawn (Bernedette) Landwer; the devoted grandfather of Taylor Anne; and the caring brother of Nancy Metzger; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Jay Willis Landwer; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jay Landwer as an expression of our sympathy.
