SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Norman A. Collins of Harvard, who passed away on July 2, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Norman Collins co-founded Conlon Collins Ford in Crystal Lake in 1957 and owned it through 1990; and

WHEREAS, Norman Collins enjoyed playing poker; since 1988, he and his wife maintained dual residencies in Harvard and Encinitas, California; and

WHEREAS, Norman Collins was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Patricia; and

WHEREAS, Norman Collins is survived by his wife of 67 years, Norma; his son, Arthur (Catherine); his daughter, Kimberly Kline (James); his 3 grandchildren, Maggi Blumberg (Tony), Mallory Taylor (Garrett), and Tessa Kline; his 3 great-grandchildren, Anthony, Rowan, and Zane; his 2 sisters-in-law; his brother-in-law; and several first and second generation nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Norman A. Collins, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Norman Collins as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
