SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Charles H. Johnson of Harvard, who passed away on June 19, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Charles Johnson was born in Harvard on July 20, 1939 to Clarence and Lucille (nee Cepek) Johnson; and

WHEREAS, Charles Johnson was a self-employed carpenter and contractor; he was a member of the Carpenters Local #2087 in Crystal Lake; and

WHEREAS, Charles Johnson was a volunteer for the State Fish Hatchery in Spring Grove for many years; he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was well known for smoking meats; and

WHEREAS, Charles Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; his 2 sisters, Lucille and Dorothy; and his 3 brothers, David, Ralph, and Ronald; and

WHEREAS, Charles Johnson is survived by his daughter, Kathryn (Bryan) Hegemann; his 2 sons, Randall C. Johnson and Paul D. (Karen) Johnson; his 9 grandchildren, Travis (fiancee Lisa), Netanya (Michael) Montana, Joshua, Jaclyn, Zac, Kaitlyn, Alex, Grace, and Dave; his sister, Rosemary Johnson; and his loving companion, Marilyn Livermore; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Charles H. Johnson, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Charles Johnson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
