SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death Frank L. Zembal of Prairie Grove, who passed
4away on June 8, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Zembal was born in Chicago on February 4,
61943 to Frank C. And Clara (nee Ulanski) Zembal; he served in
7the United States Army, serving 2 tours of duty during the
8Vietnam War; he married Katherine Freeman in Woodstock on
9February 26, 1993; and
 
10    WHEREAS, After serving his country, Frank Zembal resided in
11Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, where he worked in law enforcement for
12over 20 years; during that time, he volunteered for the Twin
13Lakes Fire Department as a fire inspector; in 1988, he moved to
14the Crystal Lake area and accepted a position as Chief of
15Police for the Village of Lakemoor, retiring in 1995; after
16retirement, he became a Public Safety Officer at Centegra
17Hospital of McHenry until 2009; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Frank Zembal was an avid Chicago Bears and White
19Sox fan; he enjoyed shooting at the gun range, golfing, and
20vacationing in Florida; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Frank Zembal was preceded in death by his parents,

1and his son, Kevin; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Frank Zembal is survived by his wife of 22 years,
3Katherine; his 6 children, Frank (Renee) Zembal, Wayne
4(Kimberly) Zembal, David Freeman, John (Christina) McCaulley,
5Richard McCaulley, and Dan (Magan) McCaulley; his 12
6grandchildren; his 5 great-grandchildren; and his sister,
7Carol (the late Ken) Embry; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Frank L. Zembal, and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Frank Zembal as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
