SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Harriet A. Lenhart of Harvard, who passed away on March 18, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Harriet Lenhart was born on December 18, 1924 in Harvard; her parents were Edward and Helen (nee Eichman) Voss; she married Frank L. Lenhart on November 6, 1948; and

WHEREAS, Harriet Lenhart was the owner and operator of Lenhart's Ladies Apparel in Harvard for 28 years; and

WHEREAS, Harriet Lenhart was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was in the church choir and taught Sunday school for many years; and

WHEREAS, Harriet Lenhart was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, DeForest Voss; and a sister, Myrtle Maguire; and

WHEREAS, Harriet Lenhart is survived by her spouse, Frank; 2 children, Terry (Mary) Lenhart and Nancy (Terry) Leonard; 5 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Harriet A. Lenhart; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Harriet Lenhart as an expression of our sympathy.
