SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jane Anne Fish of Woodstock, who passed away on March 11, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Jane Fish was born on October 5, 1926 to Walter and Alice Robinson; she married Donald A. Fish in 1946; and

WHEREAS, Jane Fish was a factory worker, representing the women of America during World War II as a "Rosie the Riveter"; she also spent several years at Automatic Liquid Packaging Inc in Woodstock; and

WHEREAS, Jane Fish and her husband made Alden their home for more than 40 years, before moving to Woodstock in 2002; she enjoyed Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Solitaire, and spending time with family; she loved telling stories and laughing with her family, including her 18-year-old cat, Sylvester; and

WHEREAS, Jane Fish was proceeded in death by her parents; her husband of 67 years, Donald; her son, Alan Fish; her grandson, Brian Garza; her brothers, Walter, Guy, Phil, and Louis Robinson; and her sisters, Betty Coss, Shirley Deaton, Alice Whiting, and Mary Collins; and

WHEREAS, Jane Fish is survived by her sisters, Judy Walters and Marge Redding; her children, Raymond (Joan) Fish, Jane Fish, Donna Howell, and Barb (Oscar) Garza; her 8 grandchildren, Jeff Fish, Jamie Fish, Christina (Bryan) Huerta, Brandy Howell, Nicole Howell, William Howell, Randy Garza, and Joe Garza; and her 16 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jane Anne Fish, and extend our sincere condolences her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jane Fish as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
