SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ciri Kay Baehman of Ringwood, who passed away on March 15, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Ciri Baehman was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin on June 2, 1960 to Harold and Shirley (nee Vang) Sorenson and she and her parents lived in Greece while her father taught English; she grew up in Wausau, Wisconsin and enjoyed camping and fishing with friends and spending time at the family business, Sorenson's Floral Shop; she married John D. Baehman on January 16, 1988 in Wausau; and

WHEREAS, While raising 3 children, Ciri Baehman graduated with honors from Northcentral Technical College in 1996 with a degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse; after several moves, she and her family finally settled in Ringwood; and

WHEREAS, Ciri Baehman enjoyed traveling, especially to Disney World, her daily phone calls with her best friend, Joanne, and spending time with family; and

WHEREAS, Ciri Baehman as preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Ciri Baehman is survived by her husband of 27 years, John; her 3 children, Kent (Amber Kiefer) Baehman, Kate Baehman, and Clair Baehman; her 2 brothers, Todd (Sheila) Sorenson and Craig (Sandy) Sorenson; several nieces and nephews; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and Joanne Baehman; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ciri Kay Baehman, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ciri Baehman an expression of our deepest sympathy.
