SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ciri Kay Baehman of Ringwood, who passed
4away on March 15, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ciri Baehman was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin on
6June 2, 1960 to Harold and Shirley (nee Vang) Sorenson and she
7and her parents lived in Greece while her father taught
8English; she grew up in Wausau, Wisconsin and enjoyed camping
9and fishing with friends and spending time at the family
10business, Sorenson's Floral Shop; she married John D. Baehman
11on January 16, 1988 in Wausau; and
 
12    WHEREAS, While raising 3 children, Ciri Baehman graduated
13with honors from Northcentral Technical College in 1996 with a
14degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse; after
15several moves, she and her family finally settled in Ringwood;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Ciri Baehman enjoyed traveling, especially to
18Disney World, her daily phone calls with her best friend,
19Joanne, and spending time with family; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Ciri Baehman as preceded in death by her parents;

1    WHEREAS, Ciri Baehman is survived by her husband of 27
2years, John; her 3 children, Kent (Amber Kiefer) Baehman, Kate
3Baehman, and Clair Baehman; her 2 brothers, Todd (Sheila)
4Sorenson and Craig (Sandy) Sorenson; several nieces and
5nephews; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and
6Joanne Baehman; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Ciri Kay Baehman, and extend our sincere condolences to her
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Ciri Baehman an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
