SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Alfred William Wilson, Jr. of North
4Chicago, who passed away on January 8, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Alfred Wilson, Jr. was born in Waukegan on
6November 17, 1934 to Alfred W. Wilson, Sr. and Edna White; he
7served in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic
8during the Korean War, receiving an Honorable Discharge; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Alfred Wilson, Jr. retired from Abbott
10Laboratories in 1983; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Alfred Wilson, Jr. was very active in the North
12Chicago Community, participating in the Saturday Nite Live
13Bowling League and the North Shore Duffers (golf) Club; he
14served as a North Chicago Board of Education District 64
15member, the first President of the North Chicago Boys' Baseball
16Organization, as President of the North Chicago Rotary Club
17from 1976 to 1977, a United Way Board of Directors member from
181976 to 1981, and as a member of the Heart Association of Lake
19County in 1975; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Alfred Wilson, Jr. is survived by his wife of 58
21years, Loretta; his children, Dianna (Herman) Parker, Alfred

1(Kathy) W. Wilson, IV, Cynthia Wilson, and Laon Wilson; his
2mother, Edna Schroeder; his 4 siblings; his 7 grandchildren;
3his 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Alfred William Wilson, Jr., and extend our sincere condolences
8to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
9it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Alfred Wilson, Jr. as an expression
12of our deepest sympathy.
