SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Eleanor Lillian Mungle of Woodstock, who passed away on March 7, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Mungle was born on August 15, 1924 in Woodstock; his parents were Matthew A. and Elsie H. (nee Siebel) Schmarje; she married Gerald N. Mungle on July 22, 1944 in Woodstock; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Mungle was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Woodstock; she was also a member of the Woodstock Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Mungle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald; a son, Gerald Mungle; a great-granddaughter, Meghan; 5 brothers, Ed Schmarje, Don Schmarje, Ralph Schmarje, Les Schmarje, and Fred Schmarje; and a sister, Helen Corey; and

WHEREAS, Eleanor Mungle is survived by 3 sons, Edward Mungle, William Mungle, and Gary (Jill) Mungle; 3 daughters, Ruth Ann (Ken) Brodeski, Virginia (Frank Piska) Radloff, and Mary (Paul) Kleven; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a sister, Pauline Young; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Eleanor Lillian Mungle; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eleanor Mungle as an expression of our sympathy.
