SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Arlette L. Stock of Marengo, who passed away on December 15, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Arlette Stock was born on October 23, 1930 in Sycamore; her parents were Arvid and Lillian (nee Palmquist) Johnson; she married Robert C. Stock on July 2, 1949 in Genoa; and

WHEREAS, Arlette Stock was employed as a teacher's aid at Marengo Community High School, retiring after 21 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Arlette Stock was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Ladies Altar Guild; she enjoyed reading books to children at Zion Lutheran School; and

WHEREAS, Arlette Stock was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kurt Stock; a brother, William Johnson; a brother-in-law, William; and a daughter-in-law, Diana Stock; and

WHEREAS, Arlette Stock is survived by her husband, Robert; 2 sons, Michael (Judy) Stock and Stuart Stock; 4 grandchildren, Kristin (Jeremy) Becker, Jennifer (Jason) Batty, Robert (Michele) Stock, and Joseph Stock; 4 great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Natalie Becker and Alexa and Chase Stock; a sister, Darlene (Harry) Bolz; a sister-in-law, Anita Johnson; 2 nephews; and 2 nieces; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Arlette L. Stock; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Arlette Stock as an expression of our sympathy.
