SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas D. Cashin of Wonder Lake, who passed away on January 2, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Cashin was born on March 8, 1940 in Woodstock; his parents were Thomas Q. and Ruth (nee Tripp) Cashin; he married Joyce Gladden on March 11, 1960 at Nativity Lutheran Church in Wonder Lake; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Cashin was the owner and operator of Cashin Construction until his retirement in 2000; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Cashin enjoyed fishing trips to Minnesota, spending time with his friends at the Busy Bee, and spending time with his cocker spaniel, Little Girl; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Cashin was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Karen; and a son, Thomas Cashin, Jr.; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Cashin is survived by his wife, Joyce; 2 sons, Richard Cashin and Greg (Jennifer) Cashin; 4 grandchildren, Madelyn, Ricky, Allyson, and Kelsey; 2 brothers, Charles (Trish) Cashin and James (Mary) Cashin; 2 sisters, Carole (Cliff) Olsen and Betty Schlieben; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas D. Cashin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Cashin as an expression of our sympathy.
