SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Michael J. Schultheis of McHenry, who
4passed away on December 8, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Schultheis was born in Chicago on June 29,
61956 to Frank J. and Suzanne (nee Jensen) Schultheis; his
7family moved to Wonder Lake in 1966; he graduated from Harrison
8Elementary School in 1970 and McHenry West High School in 1974;
9he married Catherine Weber on May 24, 1980 at St. Patrick
10Church in McHenry; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Michael Schultheis worked as a drywaller and
12tradesman for over 35 years and was well-respected for his
13ability to build or repair almost anything; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Michael Schultheis was a devoted antique radio
15collector and restorer; he enjoyed listening to music
16frequently and was an avid stereophile, often playing from his
17collection of vinyl albums; in addition to being a hobbyist
18painter and sculptor, he also loved going on long bicycle rides
19later in his life; his other past hobbies included building and
20flying model rockets and amateur astronomy; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Michael Schultheis was preceded in death by his

1loving parents; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Michael Schultheis is survived by his wife,
3Catherine; his 2 sons, Colin and Cameron Schultheis; his
4younger brother, David (Sharon) Schultheis; several cousins;
5his sister-in-law, Beth (Donald) Kirby; his brother-in-law,
6James (Rebecca) Weber; his nephews, Nick and Ryan Kirby; and
7numerous friends; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Michael J. Schultheis, and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Michael Schultheis as an expression
15of our deepest sympathy.
