SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jeannette C. Starritt of Crystal Lake, who passed away on February 14, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Jeannette Starritt was born in LaFox on March 19, 1911 to Clarence and Esther (nee Van Nordstrum) Curran; she married Charles W. Starritt in 1937; and

WHEREAS, Jeannette Starritt was the oldest member of the First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake; she was a member of P.E.O. and many other organizations throughout her life; she was a valued citizen of Crystal Lake and gladly gave her time and talents to many organizations and causes; and

WHEREAS, Jeannette Starritt was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and her son, Lt. Cdr. Douglas R. Starritt (USN); and

WHEREAS, Jeannette Starritt is survived by her son, John (Jeni) Starritt; her sister, Aura; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; her nieces and nephews; and her many dear friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jeannette C. Starritt, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jeannette Starritt as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
