SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Terrie T. Hoven of Island Lake, who
4passed away on February 1, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Terrie Hoven was born on January 27, 1949 in
6Baltimore, Maryland to Sarah E. (nee McCleese) and Morton N.
7Larson; she spent most of her life in the Crystal Lake and
8Island Lake areas; she married Marty Hoven on September 24,
91984 in Las Vegas, Nevada and became the step-mother to Brian
10and Jay Hoven, and later grandmother to Fletcher, Finnian, and
11Brandon; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Terrie Hoven worked for many years at Oak
13Industries, Precision Twist, Crystal Pines, and The Fountains;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Terrie Hoven enjoyed cruising and traveling to a
16variety of tropical places, with her favorites being Punta
17Cana, Dominican Republic, and Jamaica; she was an avid lover of
18exercise for over 15 years and she made many friendships in
19Jazzercise, Yoga, Zumba, and Aerobics classes; she adored her
20dog, Snuggles, and relished collecting Betty Boop memorabilia
21and French Chef Figurines; and

1    WHEREAS, Terrie Hoven was preceded in death by her parents;
2her sisters, Gayle (John) Barker and Dolores J. Ellison; her
3aunts and uncles, Paul McCleese, Mollie (McCleese) Harrison,
4Julia Ann McCleese, Rupert McCleese, John McCleese, Herman
5McCleese, Wayne McCleese, Beulah "Bea" McCleese, and Eulah Faye
6McCleese; and other relatives; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Terrie Hoven is survived by her husband of 30
8years, Marty Hoven; her step-sons, Brian and Jay Hoven; her
9uncle, Eugene (Ruth) McCleese; and her nephews and nieces, Kent
10(Lisa) Oliver, Shari (Jeff) Schmidt, Jamie Oliver, Traci
11(Lloyd) Bergquist, Jason (Stephanie) Larson, and Michael
12Cassie) Larson; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15Terrie T. Hoven, and extend our sincere condolences to her
16family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
17further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Terrie Hoven as an expression of our
20deepest sympathy.
