SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Matthew J. Scholle of Antioch, who passed
4away on January 29, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Matthew Scholle was born on July 25, 1937 in
6Chicago; his parents were John "Jack" and Genevieve (nee
7Czajkowski) Scholle; he married Carol (nee Sompel) Scholle on
8May 18, 1974 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Matthew Scholle was a devout Catholic for his
10entire life; he was a former longtime member of the St. John
11the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg and served on the
12Endowment Society Board and the Winner's Circle; he was most
13recently a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Spring
14Grove; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Matthew Scholle was a member of the committee for
16the Relay for Life in Antioch and the Woodland Ridge Townhome
17Association board in Antioch; he was also a member of the
18Worthmoor Association; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Matthew Scholle was employed as a Sales Manager
20for Nestle USA; he was also an employee of Hills Bros. and
21served briefly in the military reserves; and

1    WHEREAS, Matthew Scholle was preceded in death by his first
2wife, Rita (nee Merk) Scholle; his parents; and his
3sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Nancy (Jess) Inman; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Matthew Scholle is survived by his loving wife,
5Carol; his 3 aunts; his uncle; his many cousins; his
6brothers-in-law, Dan and Rick (Debbie) Sompel; his
7sisters-in-law, Betty Sompel and Louise (the late Edward)
8Flood; his 3 nephews; his niece; his great-niece; and his
9great-nephew; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
12family and friends, mourn the passing of Matthew J. Scholle;
13and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Matthew Scholle as an expression of
16our sympathy.
