SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Barbara Ann Little of Bethalto, who passed away on January 9, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Little was born on December 31, 1933 in Alton; her parents were Arthur and Reba (nee Edwards) Schelle; she married Leon A. Little on October 18, 1958 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Alton; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Little attended St. Patrick's Catholic Grade School in Alton; she subsequently graduated from Alton High School; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Little was a homemaker by trade; she was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto, where she was a member of the funeral choir for several years; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Little enjoyed watching her kids' sporting events and other activities, an activity that carried over to her grandchildren once they were old enough to participate; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Little was preceded in death by her husband, Leon; her parents; her brother, Tom Schelle; and her sisters, Norma Sholar and Nancy Westbrook; and

WHEREAS, Barbara Little is survived by her son, Phillip Little; her daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Terry Eberlin; her grandchildren, Ryan and Kerri Little and Keenan, Autumn, and Tess Eberlin; her sister and her husband, Linda and Gary Herron; her sister-in-law, Peg Schelle; her brothers-in-law, Dexter Sholar and Jim Westbrook; her former daughter-in-law, Jill (Pickering) Little; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Barbara Ann Little; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Barbara Little as an expression of our sympathy.
