SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Patricia "Pat" Kellogg of Woodstock, who
4passed away on January 17, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Patricia Kellogg was born on November 11, 1931 in
6Chicago to Ray and Mildred Johnson; she graduated from Taft
7High School in Chicago in 1949 and earned her associate's
8degree from McHenry County College while in her 60s; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Patricia Kellogg worked for many years for the
10Zukowski, Rogers, Flood, and McArdle law firm; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Patricia Kellogg was an avid cyclist and continued
12cycling even into her 80s; she enjoyed gardening, cross-country
13skiing, camping, kayaking, and snow shoeing with her bike club
14friends, who referred to her as "our little general"; she was a
15member and treasurer of the McHenry County Bike Club since
161981; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Patricia Kellogg was preceded in death by her
18parents; her daughter, Laura Kellogg Kipping; and her in-laws,
19Roger and Isabelle Kellogg; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Patricia Kellogg is survived by her children, Lynn

1(Bruce) Behrns and Dan (Carolyn) Kellogg; her sister, Carol
2Hayes (George) Heck; her grandchildren, Joshua (Annie) Behrns
3and Adam (Kristin) Behrns; her great-grandchildren, Carter,
4Lily, and Graham; her niece, Beth (George) Wirth; her nephew,
5Peter (Susan) Hayes; and her dear friend, Nancy Loomis;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Patricia "Pat" Kellogg, and extend our sincere condolences to
10her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Patricia Kellogg as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
