SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert T. Cenar of Marengo, who passed away on January 16, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Robert Cenar was born in Chicago to Robert J. and Carolyn (nee Miller) Cenar on March 6, 1960; he married Dian Onyett on March 11, 1989; and

WHEREAS, Robert Cenar worked for more than 30 years at Midwest Trading Horticultural Supplies, Inc.; he was integral in building the company from its inception and was ultimately President and Chief Operating Officer; and

WHEREAS, Robert Cenar enjoyed horseback riding, hiking, camping, and blazing trails at his "farm"; he was an avid Chicago Bears fan and liked to take trips in the Rocky Mountains and camping in Navajoland, Canyon de Chelly and Monument Valley; and

WHEREAS, Robert Cenar is survived by his wife, Dian; his father, Robert; his sisters, Karen (James) Wellhausen and Lori (Paul) Trost; his nieces and nephews, Jamie, Jimbo, and Jackie Wellhausen and Adam, Alex, and Andrew Trost; and many other members of the Onyett, Loya, Kappenman, Miller, Wandling, Chapman, and Warner families; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert T. Cenar, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Cenar as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
