1 SENATE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Samuel "Sam Jr." Roberts of Godfrey, who
4 passed away on January 11, 2014; and

5     WHEREAS, Samuel Roberts was born on June 20, 1966 in Alton;
6 his parents were Karla (nee Voss) Roberts and Sam and Sharon
7 Roberts; and

8     WHEREAS, Samuel Roberts was employed as a service
9 dispatcher for Roberts Motors in Alton; and

10     WHEREAS, Samuel Roberts is survived by his parents; his
11 daughter, Whitney; his siblings, Dr. Stacey Roberts, John
12 Roberts (Tonya), and Melissa Corella (Rogelio); his
13 stepsister, Leslie Ramprasad (Ryan); and his nieces and
14 nephews, Stephanie Roberts, Isabella, Aliana, Roman Corella,
15 and Janelle Wilson; therefore, be it

16     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
17 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
18 family and friends, mourn the passing of Samuel "Sam Jr."
19 Roberts; and be it further

20     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

1 presented to the family of Samuel Roberts as an expression of
2 our sympathy.
