SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Harry William Stomberski of Herrin, who passed away on November 16, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Harry Stomberski was born May 10, 1928 in Freeman Spur; his parents were Stanley and Della (nee Adela Ruginska) Stomberski; he married Dolores Marie Mudick on November 20, 1949 in Royalton; and

WHEREAS, Harry Stomberski retired after 30 years of employment from the Fisher Body Division of General Motors in Willow Springs; and

WHEREAS, Harry Stomberski loved fishing, gardening, tinkering around the house, and following his beloved Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Chicago Blackhawks; and

WHEREAS, Harry Stomberski was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Marco and Mary Zekovich; his brothers, Frank and Alex; and his sister, Sophie Murray; and

WHEREAS, Harry Stomberski is survived by his wife, Dolores; his sons, Bradford (Sandra) and Alan; his daughter, Cynthia; his granddaughter, Michelle; his sister, Irene Howell; his sisters-in-law, Helen (Charles) Tolbert and Anne-Marie (E.J.) Legan; his brother-in-law, Robert (Jane) Zekovich; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Harry William Stomberski; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Harry Stomberski as an expression of our sympathy.
