SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Deveraux R. Hubbard, II of Peoria, who
4passed away on December 16, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Deveraux Hubbard, II was born on April 19, 1994 in
6Peoria to Deveraux and Kristie (nee Moore) Hubbard; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Deveraux Hubbard, II, affectionately known as
8"Two", graduated from Richwoods High School in 2012, where he
9was a scholar and a member of the 2011 5A Illinois High School
10Association State Runner-Up football team; he was a sophomore
11at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Deveraux Hubbard, II had a strong work ethic; he
13previously worked as a lifeguard at the RiverPlex Recreation
14and Wellness Center, as a produce person at Walmart, and as an
15attendant at Simons Mortuary; he was one of the first Eagle
16Scouts of Boy Scout Troop 219 and enjoyed action movies,
17listening to music, and being with his friends; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Deveraux Hubbard, II was preceded in death by his
19grandfather, Kelly Moore; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Deveraux Hubbard, II is survived by his parents,

1the Reverend Deveraux and Kristie Hubbard; his sister, Drew
2Renee' Hubbard; his brother, Dawson R. Hubbard; his
3grandparents, Theda Lynn and the Reverend Danny (Carroll)
4Hubbard; his great-grandmothers, Laura Drew and Myrtie Moore;
5and a host of uncles, cousins, friends, the Peoria community,
6and his St. Paul Church family; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Deveraux R. Hubbard, II, and extend our sincere condolences to
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Deveraux Hubbard, II as an
14expression of our deepest sympathy.
