SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Paulson of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on December 23, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Paulson was born on October 1, 1921 in
6Minneapolis, Minnesota to Edwin and Ellen (nee Carlson)
7Paulson; he entered the United States Army at age 15 and was
8discharged just before World War II; he re-enlisted in the Army
9during the war and was a member of the 101st Airborne
10"Screaming Eagles"; he married Gladys Johnson on March 6, 1944;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, Following the war, he graduated from the
13California Plastic Institute and returned to Chicago to open a
14specialty plastic manufacturing company; he also owned and
15operated Perimeter Heating and Ventilating in Grayslake from
161953 to 1974 and Cur-Ric Petroleum and Gas Corporation in
17Muskogee, Oklahoma; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Robert Paulson was an inventor and holds 3 product
19patents; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Robert Paulson was preceded in death by his
21parents; his 2 sisters; his brother; and his granddaughter; and

1    WHEREAS, Robert Paulson is survived by his wife of 69
2years, Gladys; his sons, Curtis (Maureen) Paulson and Richard
3(Robin) Paulson; his grandchildren, Robert (Emily) Paulson,
4II, Jeffrey (Becky) Paulson, Erica (Rob) Zarnstorff, and Nicole
5(Edwin) Chalira; his great-grandchildren, Lily and Brody
6Paulson, Easton Paulson, Madelynne and Clara Zarnstorff, and
7Tadala Chalira; his sister, Beatrice Reiter; and his brother,
8Edwin Paulson; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Robert "Bob" Paulson, and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Robert Paulson as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
