SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ronnie James Boddie of North Chicago, who
4passed away on November 15, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ronnie Boddie was born on December 10, 1949 in
6Memphis, Tennessee; his parents were Naomi Boddie and Charles
7Makins; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Ronnie Boddie graduated from North Chicago High
9School in 1968; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Ronnie Boddie served as a member of the United
11States Army during the Vietnam War; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Ronnie Boddie worked at Defense Automated
13Printing Services in Great Lakes for 30 years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ronnie Boddie was preceded in death by his mother,
15Naomi Boddie; his grandparents, Samuel and Frenchie Boddie; his
16sister, Fannie Henderson; his uncle, Robert Boddie; his aunts,
17Arguster Boddie and Nancy Yarbrough; and his father-in-law,
18Bishop Calvin Watkins; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Ronnie Boddie is survived by his loving wife of 30

1years, Pastor Geraldine Boddie; his son, Gerron Boddie; his
2sisters, Belria Pittman and Amber Renfroe; his
3brothers-in-law, Johnnie Henderson and Calvin George Gibson;
4his mother-in-law, Essie Watkins; his aunts, Beulah Boddie,
5Evelyn Boddie, Lois Wilborn, and Rose Keaton; his uncle, Pastor
6Edward (Linda) Ervin; his nephew, Anthony Boddie; his special
7friend, Rezoila McLaughlin; and his many nieces, nephews,
8cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Ronnie James Boddie;
12and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Ronnie Boddie as an expression of
15our sympathy.
