SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lawrence T. Frank, who passed away on October 29, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Frank was born on May 4, 1935 in Rochester, Michigan; his parents were Joseph T. and Katherine Dykstra Frank; he married Valerie B. Schmidt on July 7, 1956; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Frank retired from the State of Illinois after many years of service as an aeronautical engineer; he was also a part-time farmer; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Frank was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rochester; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Frank was preceded in death by his brother, David Frank; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Frank is survived by his wife, Valerie; his son, Todd (Mary Lou) Frank; his daughters, Terri (Robert) Fleck and Tricia Garrett; his 11 grandchildren; his 3 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Arnolda Frank and Henrietta Holefca; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Lawrence T. Frank; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lawrence Frank as an expression of our sympathy.
