SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Raymond S. True, who passed away on October 22, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Raymond True was born on June 29, 1934 in Lowell, Massachusetts; his parents were Madeleine (nee Farrell) and the late Sylvester "Dusty" True; and

WHEREAS, Raymond True served his country with pride as a member of the United States Air Force for many years; and

WHEREAS, Raymond True received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago and was enrolled in the University's Ph.D. program; and

WHEREAS, Raymond True served as Chairman of the Republican Assembly of Lake County for 12 years; and

WHEREAS, Raymond True was a collector and "Classic Comics" expert; he was referred to as "The Classics King" by many; and

WHEREAS, Raymond True was the loving husband of Doreen (nee Jambrosek); the proud father of Stephen (Janet), Richard (Stephanie), and Thomas True; the grandfather of Alison, Kathryn, Dustin, Madeleine, Jennifer, Christopher, Cindy, and Emily; and the brother-in-law of Peter, John, Gerald, and James; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Raymond S. True; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Raymond True as an expression of our sympathy.
