SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Arno Barth of Bunker Hill, who passed
4away on August 8, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Arno Barth was born on May 5, 1916 in Shipman; his
6parents were Louis Barth and Anna (Schoeneman) Barth; he
7married Dorothy A. (Weiseman) Barth on June 22, 1940, in St.
8Charles, Missouri; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Arno Barth was a carpenter by trade and the
10owner/operator of Barth Lake; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Arno Barth was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of
12Bunker Hill; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Arno Barth enjoyed fishing and the outdoors; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Arno Barth is survived by his daughters, Sandra
15(Jim) Hlafka and Janice (Robert) Portugal; his grandchildren,
16Mike (Michele) Hlafka, Dr. Martri Hlafka, Jeff Grandone, Jason
17(Megan) Grandone, Lindsey Portugal, and Ryan Portugal; his
18great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Michaela, Ashlyn, Trent, Luke,
19Jacob, Emily, Sophia, and Preston; his brother, William "Buck"
20(Dolores) Barth; and his sister-in-law, Wilma Barth; and

1    WHEREAS, Arno Barth was preceded in death by his wife,
2Dorothy; his parents; and his brother, Carl Barth; therefore,
3be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Arno Barth; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Arno Barth as an expression of our
10sympathy.
