| | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | | 3 | | learn of the death of Patricia A. Haley of McHenry, who passed | | 4 | | away on September 23, 2013; and
| | 5 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Haley was born in Chicago on February 9, | | 6 | | 1928 to Harold and Mary (nee Tobin) Conley; she graduated from | | 7 | | Trinity High School in River Forest and attended nearby Rosary | | 8 | | College, now Dominican University; she married George M. Haley | | 9 | | in Chicago on August 3, 1953; they settled in McHenry in 1962; | | 10 | | and
| | 11 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Haley was employed by McHenry | | 12 | | Hospital/N.I.M.C. in dietary services for over 20 years; after | | 13 | | retirement, she continued to volunteer at the hospital as a | | 14 | | member of the auxiliary for 12 years; and
| | 15 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Haley was a talented chef; she enjoyed | | 16 | | cheering on the teams her husband coached at Wauconda High | | 17 | | School and attending the athletic games of their children and | | 18 | | grandchildren; she was a member of Saint Mary's Church in | | 19 | | McHenry, where she served as Eucharistic Minister; she was an | | 20 | | avid reader and enjoyed participating in book clubs at the | | 21 | | library; and

| | 1 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Haley was preceded in death by her | | 2 | | parents; her husband, George; and by her brothers, Harold, | | 3 | | Robert, Myron, and Gregory; and
| | 4 | | WHEREAS, Patricia Haley is survived by her children, Kevin | | 5 | | (Mary) Haley, Brian Haley, Monica (Patrick) Heenan, Moira | | 6 | | (Mark) Schmidt, and Sean (Renae) Haley; her grandchildren, | | 7 | | Colin Haley, Seamus (Nora) Haley, Bridget Haley, Emily Sturm, | | 8 | | Babz Micheletto, George and Quinton Haley, and Brian, Dillon, | | 9 | | and Molly Schmidt; and her great-grandchildren, Logan, Liam, | | 10 | | James, and Henry; therefore, be it
| | 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | | 13 | | Patricia A. Haley, and extend our sincere condolences to her | | 14 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | | 15 | | further
