SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William Fredrick Behrens of Park City, who passed away on September 1, 2013; and

WHEREAS, William Behrens was born on January 17, 1931 in Lake Forest and remained a resident of Lake Forest throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, William Behrens served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, having attained the rank of private first class; and

WHEREAS, William Behrens was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, and Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 73; and

WHEREAS, William Behrens was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Lee (nee Smith) Behrens; his brother, George Behrens; and his sister, Gretchen Cummins; and

WHEREAS, William Behrens is survived by his children, William Michael Behrens, Andra Lee (Patrick) Norton, David Charles (Amy) Behrens, and Bradley Thomas Behrens; his grandchildren, Lauren, Evan, and Abigail; his siblings, Marianne Schmitt, Alfred Britz, and Barbara Bentley; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of William Fredrick Behrens; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Behrens as an expression of our sympathy.
