SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Peter Mayer; and

WHEREAS, Peter Mayer worked for several local newspapers over the years; he was a long-time member of and advocate for the Niles Chamber of Commerce and Industry where he served on the Board of Directors for many years, and he was a friendly face in the business community; and

WHEREAS, Peter Mayer was the beloved husband of Marlene (nee Null); loving father of David (Cheryl) Mayer, Tracie (Chad) Ericksen, and the late Bethie; and dear grandfather of Taylor and Tiffanie Ericksen, Hisa Clark, and Michael Halvorsen; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Peter Mayer, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Peter Mayer as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
