SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Norman Edwin Heinrich of Crystal Lake,
4who passed away on June 8, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Norman Heinrich was born on June 20, 1926, in
6Addison to August and Helen (Krage) Heinrich; he married
7Lillian Rose Hachmeister on June 29, 1947; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Norman Heinrich worked as a dairy farmer in
9Addison from 1947 to 1962 when he and Helen moved to Crystal
10Lake and continued dairy farming until retiring in 1998; he was
11a member of the McHenry County Farm Bureau, the McHenry County
12Cooperative Extension Council, the Pure Milk Association,
13Associated Milk Producers Incorporated, the Dairy Herd
14Improvement Association, the American Dairy Association, and
15the McHenry County Dairy Promotion Council; he held numerous
16offices and served on many boards in each of these dairy
17organizations; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Norman Heinrich was a member of Immanuel Lutheran
19Church in Crystal Lake, where he was active on many boards and
20committees over the years; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Norman Heinrich enjoyed traveling with his family

1to many national and international locations; he played
2softball and football in his younger years and was an avid
3bowler for much of his life; during his time living at Fair
4Oaks Health Center he continued to help others by serving on
5the Resident's Council, the Interviewing Committee, and
6playing bingo and helping to tend the garden; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Norman Heinrich was preceded in death by his
8parents; his wife, Lillian; his brother, Wilbert; and his
9sisters, Anne Carstens and Lorna Schlomann; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Norman Heinrich is survived by his daughter, Diane
11(John) Cleland; his grandchildren, Scott and Daria Cleland; his
12sisters-in-law, Elda Heinrich, Myrtle Jenkins, and Dorothy
13(Leonard) Nerge; his brother-in-law, Leonard (Marilyn)
14Hachmeister; and his nieces and nephews, Audrey Heinrich, Dan
15(Anne) Heinrich, Susan (Mike) Volmer, Bob (Seonwha) Carstens,
16Paula (Shaun) Graser, Debbie (Stephen) Wolfe, Jeff
17Hachmeister, Jon (Judy) Hachmeister, Karen Bedore, Valerie
18Hachmeister, Duane (Carol) Nerge, Cindy (Carl) Gnewuch, and Bob
19(Louise) Jenkins; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
21ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
22Norman Heinrich, and extend our sincere condolences to his
23family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

4our deepest sympathy.
