SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Doloris E. Griffith of Rochester, who passed away on May 11, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Doloris Griffith was born on November 13, 1928, in rural Livingston County; her parents were Henry and Beulah Thorndyke; she married Boyd "Griff" Griffith on June 5, 1949; he preceded her in death in 1997; she later married James D. Stuckey on June 11, 2005; and

WHEREAS, Doloris Griffith graduated from Piper City High School in 1946; she worked for Dr. Branch of Piper City as a medical technician for many years; and

WHEREAS, Doloris Griffith was preceded in death by her first husband; her parents; and her brother, Duane Thorndyke; and

WHEREAS, Doloris Griffith is survived by her husband, James D. Stuckey; her children, Randall (Dana) and Gary Griffith, Janine Griffith, and Neal Griffith; her brother, Ronald Thorndyke; her 7 grandchildren; her 9 great-grandchildren; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Doloris E. Griffith; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Doloris Griffith as an expression of our sympathy.
