SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dale E. Anderson of Peoria, who passed
4away on February 20, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dale Anderson was born on September 15, 1925, in
6Galva; his parents were Oscar and Clara Anderson; he married
7Shirley French on January 18, 1948, at the Little Brown Church
8in Nashua, Iowa; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Dale Anderson served his country as a member of
10the United States Army in Europe during World War II; he was
11the recipient of two Bronze Stars for his meritorious service;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Dale Anderson earned his bachelor of science
14degree in industrial administration from Iowa State
15University; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Dale Anderson was a founding member of the Lake
17Calhoun Golf Course near LaFayette; he also served on the
18Kewanee Chamber of Commerce committee that organized the "Hog
19Capital of the World" Festival; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Dale Anderson was a member of Galva Lodge 243,

1A.F. & A.M.; he was a life member of Scottish Rite Bodies,
2Valley of Peoria, Mohammed Shrine, American Legion Post 45, the
3Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 15014, and the Peoria Lions Club;
4he was also active in the Republican Party as a member of the
5Peoria County Republican Central Committee; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Dale Anderson was a member at First United
7Methodist Church in Peoria; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Dale Anderson is survived by his wife; his
9daughters, Cheryl (Larry) Hughes and Caryl Schierer; his
10granddaughter, Alysia (Johnathan) Wangelin; his grandsons,
11James and Jason Rosensteel; and his 4 great-grandchildren;
12therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
15his family and friends, the passing of Dale E. Anderson; and be
16it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Dale Anderson as an expression of
19our sympathy.
