SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Margaret Elizabeth Devick of Yorkville, who passed away on February 18, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Devick was born on March 8, 1923, in Aurora to Stephen and Julia (Sabo) Batorson; she was united in marriage to Russell Devick on May 18, 1946, at Helmar Lutheran Church in Newark; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Devick was a lifetime member of Helmar Lutheran Church; she worked for 33 years as the assistant vice-president at the Bank of Yorkville and she served for many years as treasurer for the Kendall County United Fund and for Helmar Lutheran Church; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Devick was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Russell; and her 5 brothers and 2 sisters; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Devick is survived by her son, Daryl Devick; her grandson, Erik Devick; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Batorson, Lois (Gerald) Stangland, and Elaine Batorson; and many her nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Margaret Devick, and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Margaret Devick as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
