SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dorothy Tyler of Chicago, who passed away
4on February 20, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dorothy Tyler was born in Mendenhall, Mississippi
6on June 12, 1937 to Hallie and Noah Bullock; she married Arthur
7Tyler, Sr.; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Dorothy Tyler had a passion for volunteering and
9gave much of her time and energy to the homeless and friends;
10her charitable nature was expressed in numerous ways including
11monthly financial donations and Christmas toys to the needy;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Dorothy Tyler is survived by her significant
14other, James Bean; her son, Darnell Tyler; her siblings, Mary
15Bournes, Lillie Chester, Nolan Bullock, Ervin Henry Bullock,
16Andre Bullock, and Olen C. Bullock; her one granddaughter; her
173 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other
18relatives, and friends; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
21Dorothy Tyler, and extend our sincere condolences to her

1family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
2further
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4presented to the family of Dorothy Tyler as an expression of
5our deepest sympathy.
