SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Gary Grogan of Waukegan, who passed away on December 4, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Gary Grogan was born on September 9, 1948, in Waukegan to Cynthia and Granville Grogan; he married Denise Hull on September 30, 1972, in Lake Bluff; and

WHEREAS, Gary Grogan was a carpenter by trade; he loved to golf, hunt, fish, and spend time with his grandchildren and pets; and

WHEREAS, Gary Grogan was preceded in death by his sons, Billy and Wayne; his father, Granville Sr.; his brother, Granville Jr.; and his stepfather, Harold "Whitey" Maier; and

WHEREAS, Gary Grogan is survived by his wife, Denise; his sons, Gary (Jini) and Tim (Shirley) Grogan; his mother, Cynthia Maier; his grandchildren, Kyle, Alex, Torin, Nolan, Nathan, Trinity, Jacob, and Megan Grogan, Calvin, Kevin, and Steven Perez; his brothers, Leo (April), Larry (Theresa), and Greg Grogan; and his sister, Dawn (R.J.) Larsen; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Gary Grogan, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Gary Grogan as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
