SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

625 ILCS 5/3-806.10 new

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that Illinois residents that are retired members of the United States Armed Forces shall not be charged more than $45 for initial or renewal registration for their vehicles.

AN ACT concerning transportation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding Section 3-806.10 as follows:

(625 ILCS 5/3-806.10 new)

Sec. 3-806.10. Registration fees for retired military members. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 3-806 of this Code, retired members of the United States Armed Forces who reside in Illinois shall not be charged more than $45 for initial issuance or renewal of vehicle registration.
