SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

215 ILCS 5/500-5

Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the applicability of the Article concerning insurance producers, limited insurance representatives, and registered firms.

AN ACT concerning regulation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by changing Section 500-5 as follows:

(Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2017)

Sec. 500-5. Scope of Article. This Article applies to all persons and and insurance companies as defined in this Code. This Article does not apply to surplus lines producers licensed pursuant to Section 445 except as provided in Section 500-40 and subsection (b) of Section 500-90 of this Article.
