SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Leonard H. Pawlowski of Libertyville, who passed away on November 3, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Leonard Pawlowski was born on August 13, 1926, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; he had been a resident of Libertyville and Waukegan for almost 60 years; and

WHEREAS, Leonard Pawlowski was a veteran of World War II and served on the USS Vastal; and

WHEREAS, Leonard Pawlowski had received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Marquette University in 1951; and

WHEREAS, Leonard Pawlowski retired from USF&G, where he served as an insurance auditor for 40 years; and

WHEREAS, Leonard Pawlowski was a member of the Waukegan Knights of Columbus and served as an usher for St. Joseph Catholic Church in Libertyville; he was also a past district deputy of the northern district of Illinois for the Elks Club and was a member of Waukegan Elks Club 702; and

WHEREAS, Leonard Pawlowski enjoyed vacationing with his family on the Outer Banks, reading, watching the Green Bay Packers, and estate sales; and

WHEREAS, Leonard Pawlowski is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Audrey, and his loving children, Mark, Karen (Pat) Morris, John (Mary), and Jim (Christine); he was also the proud grandfather of Margaret, Drew, Brian, Joe, Jessica, Kristen, Matthew, Hannah, and the late Scott and the dear brother of the late Wanda; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Leonard H. Pawlowski; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Leonard Pawlowski as an expression of our sympathy.
