SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply saddened to learn of the death of John Zeit, who passed away on October 17, 2012; and

WHEREAS, John Zeit was born on January 20, 1927, in Cleveland, Ohio; he graduated from (Case) Western Reserve University and served in the U.S. Marine Corp.; he married Sally Lou Waterman; and

WHEREAS, John Zeit worked as an accountant for American Steel and Wire in Cleveland, Ohio and Waukegan, the Ozite Corporation, and Domino Amjet; he volunteered with Junior Achievement, Easter Seals, and United Way; and

WHEREAS, John Zeit was an active member of Living Faith United Methodist Church; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dr. Paul Zeit; and

WHEREAS, John Zeit is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sally Lou; his daughters, Betsy (Paul) Florin, Nancy (Tim Wildrick), and Kathy (Wade Christoffel); his grandchildren, Tyler (Nancy) Rivera, Max Florin, and Spencer Christoffel; his great-grandson, Jack Rivera; his sister, Lois Sturrock; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John Zeit, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Zeit as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
