SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Linda S. Tekampe of Winthrop Harbor, who passed away on November 8, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Linda Tekampe was born on September 17, 1948, in Waukegan to Gerald and Madeleine Render; she remained a lifelong area resident and married James Tekampe; and

WHEREAS, Linda Tekampe was a member of St. Anastasia Parish; she was a secretary for the Pines Condo Association and had been a beautician for 44 years; she was co-owner of the Hair Director Salon in Waukegan for the past 28 years; and

WHEREAS, Linda Tekampe loved fashion and jewelry, keeping a beautiful home, entertaining, reading, golf, and her family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Linda Tekampe was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Madeleine (nee Sheridan) Render; and

WHEREAS, Linda Tekampe is survived by her husband, James Tekampe; her son, Patrick (Michelle) Tekampe; her grandson, Sullivan Tekampe; her stepsons, Joe Tekampe and his children, Matthew, Zachary, and Josey, Chuck (Judy) Tekampe and their children, Amanda, Jessica, Charlie, Anthony, Elizabeth, Melissa, and Rosemary; her sister, Trish (Ron) Lauraitis; her brothers, Dennis Render and Joseph Render; her nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends and loyal clients; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Linda Tekampe, and we extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Linda Tekampe as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
