SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Steven L. Wrobel of Zion, formerly of North Chicago, who passed away on June 26, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Steven Wrobel was born on September 8, 1956, at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia; and

WHEREAS, Steven Wrobel served as the grounds manager at the Waukegan Port District for the last 21 years; and

WHEREAS, Steven Wrobel was a member of the Friends of Bill W and the National and Lake Shore Harley Owners Groups; he was also a devoted volunteer with the Elder Care program; and

WHEREAS, Steven Wrobel enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, riding his Harley-Davidson, and horticulture; and

WHEREAS, Steven Wrobel was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Patricia Wrobel; his mother-in-law, Tommie Lou White; and his grandson, Todd Watts; and

WHEREAS, Steven Wrobel is survived by his devoted wife, Helen Wrobel; his children, Becky (Kit) Kress, Barb (Ben) Satterwhite, Tammy Wrobel, and Andy (Melinda) Salyer; his 12 grandchildren; his 4 great-grandchildren; his brother, Randy Wrobel; and his sisters, Cheryl Green and Judy Hamilton; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Steven L. Wrobel; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Steven Wrobel as an expression of our sympathy.
