SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Carter Jack Stewart; and

WHEREAS, Carter Stewart was the son of the late Irene (Harazak) Stewart and Jack Stewart; and

WHEREAS, Carter Stewart enjoyed the proximity of Lake Michigan to his family home and was an avid sailor; he served as a sailing instructor at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center; and

WHEREAS, Carter Stewart was a member of the Anchorage Yacht Club for several years; and

WHEREAS, Carter Stewart was preceded in death by his aunts, Helen and Sylvia, and his uncle, Edward; and

WHEREAS, Carter Stewart is survived by his aunts, Joan Livieri, Evelyne Stickler, and Catherine Emanuel; and his good friend and caregiver, Portia Carmichael, and her son, Douglas; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Carter Jack Stewart; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carter Stewart as an expression of our sympathy.
